The World Comes to Your Classroom: UMD Faculty Share Insights for Collaborative Online International Learning

Panelists Include:
  • Helen Mongan-Rallis, who regularly connects her education students with students in South Korea, South Africa and elsewhere
  • Carol Wallace, who tried using digital technology on a small scale in a Spanish class for the first time this semester
  • Andrew Snustad, who has connected his language students with students in Mexico for the past two semesters
  • Dan Nolan, who has connected UMD students with German and Russian students, and who has been UMD's champion for collaborative on-line international learning for several years

Whether you are someone seeking to start a COIL experiment in your teaching or an experienced COIL advocate, you will hear something of interest from the panel.
